I thought I’d take the time to write a coherent blog today since I don’t have any meetings, but I just finished catching up on so many fantastic blogs by other people that deserve attention.
My initial idea was to write a blog about the age of transparency that seems to be approaching fast, sometimes with our support and sometimes against our own will. I have mixed feelings about transparency. While I’m sometimes horrified when it is forced upon me, in all honesty I’m the kind of girl who will gladly give you an update on my mental/physical/spiritual status via Facebook. Through sharing, I’ve found that the more open I am with the world the more open it becomes with me, and I have felt less alone and hopefully made others feel that way, too. (cue Ben Lee’s song – We’re All In This Together) After reading a few blogs related to the concept of transparency/privacy, I couldn’t stop and my journey lead me in all kinds of disparate directions, although I could probably find a way to connect them ;-).
